How do bookings work?

Book an ongoing weekly time slot or casual bookings for your piano lessons. On the day of your bookings, your teacher will send you a text message to confirm. Reply YES to attend, or NO to reschedule.

We are open all year round and even take bookings through the holidays to keep the kids busy!

Who are lessons for?

5 year olds to senior citizens, everywhere.

There is no experience necessary to start lessons and it’s never too late to learn!

Homeschool students are very welcome, we have flexible daytime lessons available and can provide extra music theory activities. We follow a syllabus but our lessons are highly interest-based, as it sparks motivation, commitment and most importantly, enjoyment!

Siblings and parent-child lessons are also a lot of fun and are highly encouraged!

What do I need?

A piano or digital piano at home. The standard size is 88 keys, with ‘weighted’ or ‘hammer-scale action’ keys. It’s ok for beginners to learn on a smaller keyboard for the first year.

Music Books - your teacher will recommend which books to purchase, they can be ordered online from most music retailers.

A credit card to pay your teacher at each lesson.

A laptop or tablet for video meetings, which you set up next to your piano on a tripod, stand, or table.

Dropbox - to access your homework, videos, recordings and sheet music.

Zoom Meetings - for our online lessons.

Can I really learn piano online?
Does it really work?

ABSOLUTELY! Our teachers have more than 20 years’ professional experience - this is what we do full time and we love it. We have the skills to not only watch you play; we have exceptional aural skills that allow us to teach by simply listening!

We have a high-tech professional set up with two cameras provided for you - one is face-to-face with your teacher, and the other is an above-view of the teacher’s hands for demonstrations.

During the lesson, you and your teacher will have the same books and sheet music to follow, and you’ll have access to videos and recordings to practice with in your own time.

What do we learn in our lessons?

To read music - using magnet notes, rhythm flashcards, games, and Blitz Sight Reading books

Aural skills - playing to backing tracks, playing in duets and ensembles, and the Auralia ear-training program

Scales and exercises to develop proper technique, posture and hand position

Chords, progressions and accompaniment

Work toward graded exams with the A.M.E.B. and Universal Music Exams.

Participate in Piano Eisteddfods and Composition Competitions

Theory and Musicianship

Practice for HSC and school music exams

Our online lessons are convenient, fun, flexible and more affordable than in-person lessons - perfect for busy families!
