How do bookings work?
Contact us to book a weekly time for your piano lessons. We run all year round, even through the holidays!
On the morning of your booking, your teacher will send you a text message. Reply YES to attend, or NO to reschedule. At the lesson time, simply sit at your piano and log in to the video meeting on your laptop or tablet device.
Who are lessons for?
Our lessons are suited for 5 year olds to senior citizens. There is no experience necessary to start lessons. Students can work towards graded examinations or play for FUN!
What do I need?
A piano or digital piano at home. The standard size is 88 keys, with ‘weighted’ or ‘hammer-scale action’ keys. It’s ok for beginners to learn on a smaller keyboard for the first year.
Music Books - your teacher will recommend which ones you need to purchase, they can be ordered online and delivered to you.
A credit card to pay your teacher at each lesson.
A laptop or tablet device with a large screen for video meetings, which you set up to the side of your piano on a tripod, stand, or table. Your teacher can help you with the set up at your first FREE meet and greet session.
We use the DROPBOX app to access your homework, videos, recordings and sheet music.
We use ZOOM MEETINGS for our online lessons.
Can I really learn piano online?
Does it really work?
ABSOLUTELY! Our teachers have more than 20 years’ professional experience - this is what we do full time and we love it. We have the skills to not only watch you play; we also have exceptionally refined aural skills and can teach by simply listening!
We have a high-tech professional set up with two cameras provided for you - one is face-to-face with your teacher, and the other is an above-view of the teacher’s hands, for demonstrations.
Videos, recordings and sheet music are uploaded for you to access on your device. You and your teacher will also be looking at the same books during your lessons.
Students benefit from learning online as well. Not only are our lessons flexible, they are more affordable than in-person lessons, and you have access to videos and recordings to practice with.
We have found that our online students develop better independence, focus, problem solving skills and initiative than students who have in-person lessons.

Fees and Cancellations
NO subscriptions, NO contracts, NO upfront fees. Payment is per lesson.
On the morning of your bookings, your teacher will send you a text message. Reply YES to attend, or NO to reschedule.
At the end of each lesson, the teacher will charge your credit card. The rate is $35 AUD per 30 minutes and you can choose the duration of your lessons.
We are happy to reschedule if you can’t attend your weekly booking. We kindly ask that you give as much notice as possible, so your time can be allocated to another student.
For cancellations less than 2 hours before your booking or for not showing up, the full lesson fee will be charged.

What do we do in our lessons?
Learn to read music - with flashcards, games, and Blitz Sight Reading books
Learn about rhythm, chords, scales and composition
Develop Aural skills - we use backing tracks, practice part-playing in duets & ensembles, and use the Auralia ear training program
Develop proper technique, posture and hand position
Work toward graded exams with the A.M.E.B. and Universal Music Exams. We have lots of students receiving excellent results!
